Mobileye is a company that specializes in the development and deployment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technologies. Founded in 1999 by Prof. Amnon Shashua, Mobileye has evolved from academic research into a leading provider of monocular vision systems for vehicle detection using cameras and software algorithms.
The company's technology is designed to enhance vehicle safety by enabling real-time detection of road users, geometry, semantics, and markings to provide safety alerts and emergency interventions.
Mobileye's product offerings include a range of ADAS solutions, cloud-enhanced driver assist systems, Mobileye SuperVision™ for navigation and assisted driving, and Mobileye Drive™ for autonomous public transport or goods delivery.
Mobileye's technology has been implemented in 160 car models made by 18 different OEMs as of 2014, and it continues to pioneer driver-assist technology while leading the way to a fully autonomous future. The company was acquired by Intel Corp in 2017 for $15.3 billion, marking the biggest-ever acquisition of an Israeli tech company.
